I waited an hour to take a Selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo – Osimhen

Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, has revealed he waited an entire hour just to snap a selfie with football legend Cristiano Ronaldo after a Serie A clash in February 2021.
Osimhen shared the memorable experience during an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, recounting the events that followed Napoli’s 1-0 victory over Juventus.
“I said to him, ‘Chris [Cristiano Ronaldo], I’d like to take a picture with you.’ He said, ‘Yeah, come to the dressing room,’” Osimhen recalled.
Upon arriving, he was intercepted by legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who asked what he was looking for. Buffon then directed him to the gym, where Ronaldo was still working out.
“I sat with Buffon and we chatted for nearly 30 minutes, but Ronaldo didn’t come out. I ended up waiting for one hour—he was still working out,” Osimhen said.
Describing the Portuguese superstar’s physical form, he added, “Look at the laps and the veins—you’d think he was 25 years old at that time.”
When Ronaldo finally emerged, he offered Osimhen encouragement: “Great game, just keep on going,” the Nigerian forward recalled, before they shared a handshake and took the photo.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo, whose contract with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr expires this month, is reportedly in talks for an extension. Osimhen, who recently completed a loan spell with Galatasaray, is yet to decide on his next club.
