American TV host Oprah Winfrey has dismissed claims that she received $1 million to campaign for Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s candidate in the recent U.S. presidential election.
The Washington Examiner had reported that Winfrey’s company, Harpo Productions, was paid to organize a celebrity town hall for Harris in September. However, Oprah firmly denied the allegation, stating, “Not true. I was paid nothing, ever,” as reported by TMZ.
Winfrey also declined to comment on the election outcome, which saw Republican nominee Donald Trump win the presidency.
