The newly appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has expressed his commitment to working effectively with President Bola Tinubu. In a ceremony held at the council chamber on Wednesday, June 7, Akume was sworn in by President Tinubu in the presence of several government officials.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, the SGF spoke to State House correspondents and assured Nigerians that he would not disappoint them. He pledged to discharge his duties diligently and in the best interest of the country.
Akume’s appointment as the SGF is expected to contribute to the smooth running of the government and the implementation of key policies and initiatives under President Tinubu’s administration. With his experience and expertise, Akume’s role will be crucial in coordinating the affairs of the government and ensuring effective governance.
As the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Akume will be responsible for coordinating and managing the administrative machinery of the federal government. His role will involve providing support and advice to the president on various policy matters, overseeing the implementation of government programs, and fostering cooperation among different arms and levels of government.
