Veteran Afrobeats singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has confidently declared that he would remain financially stable even if he stopped making music.

Addressing rumours about his financial status during a recent episode of the *+234 Mzansi Podcast* co-hosted by actor and media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, also known as Nedu, the ‘African Queen’ crooner debunked speculations that he is broke.

“I’m not broke. I invested my money. I can live with or without music,” he said, adding that he has channelled his earnings from music into other profitable ventures.

2Baba, widely regarded as one of the most bankable music stars in Nigeria and across Africa, has diversified his portfolio with investments in real estate, a record label, and the hospitality industry.

Meanwhile, the music icon also addressed his longstanding feud with former bandmate Blackface. In the same interview, 2Baba expressed his frustration over the continued conflict, saying that despite showing respect, Blackface has repeatedly sought to tarnish his image.

Speaking on their past collaboration, 2Baba said:
“It was a collaboration. I wrote most of the song, actually, but we wrote it together. I’m not someone who likes to drag issues. I don’t know what his intentions are or what I’ve ever done to him.”

He described Blackface’s repeated online attacks as “absurd, ridiculous, and very painful,” adding that he remains puzzled by the motive behind the hostility.

“Till today, I just wonder why. That’s the only thing I have in my head — what’s the reason? It’s just ridiculous,” he said.
