I’m Abraham, I’m a passionate full-stack software engineer with a passion for learning and teaching new technologies. This passion started 5 years ago when I taught myself how to make Windows batch scripts.  Little did I know that hacking around on my computer back then would turn into a life-long passion for programming.

I am currently a final year student of Information Technology at Middlesex University, Dubai and I have taken up internship position in various developer roles at multinational corporations and startups within UAE.

I always believed that the final step to learning is teaching. And so I started a software development training institute called Coding Towers. After 24 of lunching our official Facebook page, hundreds of students have showed interest and we got 591 like, followers and tens of reviews.

My goal for establishing Coding Towers is to help Young Nigerian developers make a better living through their code. Whether that’s by building new systems and tools to make the world a better place, or just to make their lives easier. If I can help them to increase their earning power, so they can better support their communities and loved ones, then even better support government creating employments.

My specialties are: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, & Bootstrap; iOS (Swift, Xcode, Core Data, AV Foundation, iOS Fundamentals, Core Motion, Core Location, iOS Sockets); Python (Python, MySQL, Flask, Ajax, APIs, jQuery, Django, PostgreSQL); & MEAN (MongoDB, Express, AngularJS, Node.js, Advanced JavaScript, Node Package Manager, Socket.IO, & Bower), but because I’m full-stack, I can work my way around most programming languages and frameworks. I live in Dubai, UAE.

About Coding Towers

Coding Towers was founded on May 30, 2017 by an Idoma Born Computer Programmer(Geek) Abraham Wright Enoh. Abraham(Funder/CEO) is working with other programmers and funding partners across the world. Grace Mark (Front-End Developer, Michigan), Mike Sunday (An A.B.U Ph.D. Student), Gina Ben (A Dubai base Senior Business Developer), Justin David (Senior Web Developer, San Francisco), Ralph Agbo (Senior Accountant, Lagos) and Sunday Mike (Business Analyst, Abuja).   It is a one-stop online education boot camp for programming in the sub-Sahara Africa. We’re committed to building the best learning experience inside and outside, making Coding Towers the best place for Nigerian youths to learn programming, and using the skills to create the best tools for the real world.

Education is old. The current public school system in Nigeria dates back to the 20th century and wasn’t designed to scale the way it has. Lots of companies, individuals and even government are working to disrupt education by changing the way things work in the classroom and by bringing the classroom online.

We’re not one of those companies nor individuals. We are rethinking education from the bottom up. The web has rethought nearly everything; in commerce, social networking, healthcare, and more. We are building the education the world needs and the first truly net native education. We take more cues from leaders in the industries in creating an engaging online educational experience than we do from the classroom.

Our Mission

Our program is about slowly building up proficiency in fundamentals, while at the same time exposing you to new workflows and practices. This requires a long, deliberate, and sometimes circular path to learning. Don’t rush, take it slow, follow the path, and you’ll be transformed. This is the slow path to mastery. There was a time when knowing how to program was for the geekiest of geeks. That’s not exactly the case today. it’s super valuable for any business professional. getting a little code under your belt is an incredibly valuable skill for marketers and any other members of a business team. As most entrepreneurs, freelancers and marketers will tell you, learning how to program can help you succeed.  You can dive in when my team needs to fix a few bugs on the site.

Coding Towers has reason up with young graduates in Nigeria in providing the IT skills to meet the needs of career changers and others looking to get on the fast track to a nearly six-figure job in software development. Our program takes 12 to 14 weeks long and is free and offer hands-on programming training and you stand the best opportunity to work on personal projects that you would showcase to prospective employers. With the kind of training will offer, we are sure of you securing a job within a relatively short amount of time.

Though the startup online platform Coding Towers now teaches 3 full stacks (3 programming languages and web fundamentals) around the globe, we are not charging for our services. We’re choosing to remain focused on growth before introducing what CEO Abraham Wright Enoh describes as a money making business. In today’s market, that’s an unusual stance to maintain. Students can work at their own pace to complete the following courses. While college credit cannot be earned, the information needed to learn about computer programming is available through lecture videos, text, quizzes and other training materials.
Coding Towers, the free online coding school, plans to raise $100k before the mid of 2018.
Our footprint is without charging its students a penny to use it. Now, as more questions arise about how and when the startup might start monetizing its services, it is announcing $100k in new funding that could be an indication of what might come next.

Our long-term vision is that job placement thesis which has been a problem for coding training programs be solved. Many of the pricier options for an education in programming promise a lot but don’t end up delivering a job at the end of the process.

We think of ourselves as a gateway to economic opportunity. In an industry that’s been controlled by gatekeepers who often have no real sense of an applicants’ ability, a service like Coding Towers can help place vetted talent within companies that need it.

There is a technology skills gap today both in terms of what is being taught in the classroom, and in terms of what the current workforce knows and what kinds of jobs need to be filled (or businesses need to be created): technology is everywhere now, and that means we need tech skills in all industries and levels of jobs.

On top of this, there is also a large addressable market for its courses, with now more than 3.5 billion people online. Coding Towers focuses on 3 full stacks and web fundamentals. The premise is not only to learn directly from the lessons but to do so by simulating a classroom-like situation, where the code and other work that you produce gets feedback from others also on the platform.

There is a longer list of companies that are developing online learning tools, from pure-play education specialists to companies like google, which potentially also lays the groundwork for developing content that targets the same skills gap that Coding Towers seeks to address. In that sea of competition, one of Coding Towers’  unique selling points have been that it is free to use. That lowers the barrier of entry for those curious to try something out, although some have noted that it also fails to go far enough in its teaching and so serious students eventually have to look elsewhere. (Indeed, developing deeper, higher levels of learning a particular skill is one obvious area for monetizing).

Local universities in Nigeria are poorly equipped to meet the evolving demands of technology students and employers, and Coding Towers fills an important and valuable gap in the market. The quality of the Coding Towers product and the team’s execution have enabled a global footprint today and positions it well for future expansion.
