Idoma-born winger and FC Nantes forward, Moses Simon, has been included in Gernot Rohr’s 24-man squad that will take on the Republic of Benin and Lesotho in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

IDOMA VOICE observed that Eagles’ captain, Ahmed Musa, was also handed a call despite being without a club since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in October.

The 28-year-old forward came close to sealing a move to Premier League side West Bromwich Albion in January but a deal failed to materialise.

Interesting, Almeria forward Sadiq Umar has also been handed his first senior call-up following his spectacular performances this season.

Umar has scored 22 goals and provided seven assists in 41 appearances for the Union across all competitions, amid other dazzling displays.

Others on the list include, Everton’s Alex Iwobi, Leicester City stars Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, Rangers’ Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun.

Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble, Samuel Chukwueze, Maduka Okoye, Francis Uzoho, Kenneth Omeruo, William Troost-Ekong and Abdullahi Shehu are also part of the team.

Chidozie Awaziem, Ola Aina, Jamilu Collins, Zaidu Sanusi, Tyronne Ebuehi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Semi Ajayi have also been included in the list.
