Idoma-born Moses Simon shines as Nantes thrash Brest 4-1

Nigerian international, Moses Simon, was on the score sheet as Nantes thrash Brest 4-1 to boost their survival hope in Ligue 1 on Sunday.

The Super Eagles’ forward also got an assist in the game at the Stade Francis le Ble.

Simon opened the scoring for the visitors after just 15 minutes and provided the assist to his side’s third goal courtesy of Imran Louza early in the second half.

The Antoine Komboaure’s still have a slight hope of avoiding relegation.

Defeat in Brest would have left 18th-place Nantes seven points behind Lorient and the safety of 17th position on the league table.

There are still four points between the two strugglers, though, and Nantes would still go down should Lorient win one of their final three games.

It would be a disappointing end to the campaign for Simon, who have now recorded six goals and three assists in 30 league matches for Nantes.
