Idoma-born Moses Simon visits Gov Ortom, seeks ways to empower youth

Super Eagles forward Moses Simon paid a visit to his Governor, the Governor of Benue State Samuel Ortom to discuss ways to empower the youths of the state.

Simon capped a brilliant campaign with Nantes with two victories for the Super Eagles in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. And the 26-year-old is on holiday as he looks to refresh before returning to France for preseason.

Nonetheless, Simon is looking to give back as he revealed via his Twitter page that he visited the Benue state Governor to talk about using football as a tool for youth empowerment.

The Nantes forward was born in Jos, where he spent the early years of his life, but he originally hails from Benue state.

Also, since his took over in 2015, Ortom has reiterated his desire to empower the youths

Still, over a quarter of Benue State’s population live in poverty. In 2017, Governor Ortom empowered some youths in the state by sharing Wheelbarrows.
