Idoma-born CSP Vera Ameh-Akpa has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Ameh-Akpa is currently serving as the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Ejigbo, Lagos State.
The Police Service Commission (PSC) approved her promotion over Ameh alongside 77 senior officers as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the leadership structure within the Nigeria Police Force.
The promotions were announced on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, during the second day of the Commission’s week-long plenary meeting.
In a press statement electronically signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations, the PSC revealed that 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to the rank of Deputy Commissioners, while 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) were elevated to Assistant Commissioners.
