Idoma community set to get another university

On Wednesday, 3rd March 2021 the site allocated for construction of Open University Study Centre at Obagaji Agatu, Agatu Local Government Headquarters has been cleared for immediate commencement of the building project. The site Engineer, Arc Tsegba from Gboko who personally came to the site with his men had cleared the site with pegs in all the allocated areas making the environment busy with labourers onsite.

The Council Chairman Agatu Local Government Hon Adoyi Suleiman who was overwhelmed with joy said, he was glad with his Council Members to have the project achieved during his tenure, adding that, the school if completed would bring accelerated development not only to Agatu but to the entire Benue State and Nigeria at large.

The engineer assured Agatu people, Federal Government of quality and timely completion of the project.

It will be recalled that, late last year, the Permanent Secretary Federal Ministry of Education, Arc Sunday Echono visited Agatu to officially see the site allocated for the building of Open University in Agatu, which was shown him along Methodist High School area, today it has become a reality.

Congratulations to Agatu, kudos to Federal Government for this project and all those who in one way or the other worked for the actualization of this project.
