The Idoma nation has again recorded another milestone in the academia as Simon Ocheme Akpakwu gets promotion to the rank of professor. Simon Ocheme Akpakwu wrote on his facebook on 30th October 2016:
” My wonderful and merciful God has done it again. I have been promoted to the rank of full professor by the Governing Council of Benue State University, Makurdi.
Thank you merciful father for your chosen time is indeed the best of times”.
The Idoma nation is believed to have 86 professors and over 500 Ph.D holders as revealed during the 2nd edition of the Annual Ogiri Okoh Memorial Lecture in 2016.
