Idoma Governor 2023: BRM intensifies efforts to capture Benue for Zone C, makes new appointment

Benue Rebirth Movement (BRM), has approved the choice of Hon. Joseph Ode, an international award-winning journalist, as the Media Coordinator.

BRM was formed in June last year with the objective of mobilising Benue people to support Benue South Senatorial District (Zone C) to produce the next Governor of Benue State, come 2023.

His selection took place at the meeting of BRM’s Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) in Makurdi on 16th January, 2020.

Hon. Ode’s mandate is to coordinate all the media and publicity activities as well as design and implement the organisation’s public communications policies aimed at achieving its objectives.

Hon. Ode, an Economics graduate of University of Jos and holder of MBA (Benue state University), was at various times Editor, Sunday Voice, General Editor, Newswatch magazine and Editor, Financial Standard.

He also served as Senior Manager, Public Affairs, Chartered Bank (now Stanbicibtc Bank); Senior Special Assistant and Director of Media and Public Affairs to former Benue State Governor, Senator Gabriel Suswam.

Hon. Ode who was a winner of Nigeria Media Merit Award and African Journalist of the Year Award in 1997, is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Masterpiece, a national news-features monthly magazine focused on politics.
