Idoma youths blow hot as herdsmen kill 20 in Agatu

The leadership of Ochetoha K’ Idoma Youth Wing World wide wish to condole the people of Agatu local government area of Benue state over the renewed attacks which have left no fewer than 27 people dead and others injured.

This brings the record of death to about 200 people within the last one month in Idoma land by the activities of killer herdsmen.

It is glaring that the rains are here again and the attacks will not stop; it is time to become self reliant to stay alive.

The 1999 constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria gives us the right to life and permits the defense of once self against danger.

We cant agree less as we must stay alive, I challenge us all as Idoma people to rise up in defense of our people and our land; as survival has become the product of choice.

I wish to use this medium to call on NEMA and SEMA to step up their intervention as the humanitarian challenges is growing sporadically.

We pray for the repose of the souls of those murdered and the fortitude to bear the loss by their loved ones left behind.

We shall not be discouraged as we are convinced that even “this” shall pass away.

Obande Gideon

President, Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing ( World Wide).
