If Arabic text is Muslim, then English text is Christian – Shehu Shagari’s grandson

Bello Shagari has faulted those calling for the removal of Arabic language from the new naira notes.

There has been controversy over the inclusion of Arabic language in Nigerian currency.

Following the announcement by the Central Bank of Nigeria that it would introduce new naira notes with effect from December, there have been calls in some quarters that Arabic signs should be removed from the money.

However, Bello, who is the grandson of former President Shehu Shagari, said if people believe rabic text is Muslim, then English text is Christian.
