Igboayaka: Police deny alleged abduction of Ohanaeze Youth President
The Ebonyi State Police Command has denied media reports alleging that its officers were responsible for the abduction of Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, the President of the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC).
According to the command, the allegations stem from a petition submitted to the Commissioner of Police, which accused Igboayaka of disseminating false information capable of disturbing peace and destabilizing communities within Ebonyi State.
In a statement released on Monday, the command’s spokesperson, SP Joshua Ukandu, clarified that the police are investigating the claims outlined in the petition. He added that upon the conclusion of the investigation, Igboayaka would be charged in court if found culpable.
The police assured the public of their commitment to justice and maintaining peace in the state.
