The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) on Thursday re-arraigned controversial social media influencer, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), before the Federal High Court in Abuja for alleged cyberbullying.

VDM is facing a five-count charge bordering on alleged cyberstalking and online harassment of several Nigerian celebrities, including actresses Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh, as well as music producer and singer, Samuel Oguachuba, popularly known as Samklef.

The re-arraignment took place before Justice Musa Liman, where VDM pleaded not guilty to all charges.

His counsel, Deji Adeyanju, urged the court to allow the defendant to continue on the bail earlier granted by Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of a sister court.

The prosecuting counsel, Victor Okoye, representing the IGP, did not oppose the application. Consequently, Justice Liman ruled that the defendant should remain on the existing bail terms and adjourned the case to July 24, 2025, for trial.
