Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho’s club, Leicester City, suffered a 3-2 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium, on Sunday, despite the 24-year-old scoring twice for the Foxes.
Iheanacho got his first goal of the game in the 70th minute after he powered home a Ricardo Pereira’s assist.
The former Manchester City attacker doubled his tally from close range in the 90+1 minute after another defensive error from the hosts.
Jesse Lingard’s brace and a goal from Jarrod Bowen gave the hosts a three-goal advantage earlier before Kelechi stepped up his performance and reduce the deficit towards the end of the meeting.
Meanwhile, Leicester maintain their third position on the table with 56 points – one point better than the Hammers after 31 rounds of games.
The Super Eagles star has now scored six goals in his last five EPL games for the Foxes while his tally in all competitions so far stands at 14 goals and five assists.
