Iheanocho’s goal not enough as Leicester City fall 4-2 to Newcastle Utd

Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, was again on the scoresheet as they lost 4-2 to Newcastle United on Friday.

Iheanacho bagged a late effort as they attempted to come back into the game, with Marc Albrighton reducing the deficit after already down by 4-0.

He thus took his tally to 10 league goals this season, which were all scored between March to May.

The effort also ranked him as the second most prolific attacker in Europe’s top five leagues with only his compatriot Simy having more goals than him during this time.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian international has been nominated for Premier League Player of the Month for the second consecutive time. He was also nominated for Goal of the Month.
