Ilupeju Classic: Go and make us proud – George Alli charges Apa flames basketball team

The Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, Rt. Hon. George Alli has charged Apa Flames basketball team to go all out for an outright victory as they depart to Lagos for a basketball tournament.

The Chairman gave the charge when the Coach, Anyebe Ujor Alexandsr led 13 member team to him on a thank you visit in Otukpo before their departure for the five days tournament.

According to the award winning chairman, “I want you all to know that I confidence in your ability to go out there for an outright victory at the tournament. You are a young team and I believe you have what it takes to win the tournament. Go and make us proud!”. He said.

Team captain, Emmanuel Sunday thanked the sport loving council Chairman for receiving them. He said he and his team mates are encouraged and motivated by the Charge from Hon. Alli and that by God’s grace they will bring home the trophy.

 

The “ILUPEJU CLASSIC” which is slated for 25th to 30th January 2021, is an annual basketball tournament organized by Warrior Basketball Academy, for the purposes of discovering and developing talented young basket ballers from across the country.
