‘I’m a Muslim but I believe in Jesus’ – Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley

Controversial British-Nigerian rapper, Naira Marley, on Tuesday, took to his verified Twitter handle, to open up on his religious believe.

According to the “Yahoo boy” crooner, though, he practices Islamic religion, he believes in the Christian “God”, Jesus.

He wrote; “I’m a Muslim but I believe in Jesus”

The leader of the ‘Marlians confraternity’ is widely criticized for promoting photography through his indecent music videos, something that does not correlate with his religion, Islam or Jesus whom he claimed to believe in.

Naira Marley is also considered a ‘bad influence’ especially on his followers “Marlians” – a group many regards as touts, immoral sect, and drug addicts – .

IDOMA VOICE recalls that Naira Marley was something in 2019 thrown into EFCC net for requestioning after releasing the ‘fraudulent’ song “I’m a Yahoo boy” along side another secular rapper, Zlatan Ibile.

There are also allegations of him being an ex-convict in the UK.

His new revelation about his religious believe, has elicited a lot of mixed reactions.
