Embattled Nigerian crossdresser, Bobrisky, has declared that he will no longer accept awards or recognitions designated for females.
He made this statement while reflecting on the backlash he faced after receiving the ‘Best Dressed Female’ award at actress Eniola Ajao’s movie premiere, a moment he believes marked the beginning of his troubles.
According to Naija News, Bobrisky faced severe criticism following the award. Shortly after, he was arrested by the EFCC for naira abuse at the event and sentenced to six months in jail.
Controversy deepened after his jail term when a leaked audio recording suggested that Bobrisky had bribed EFCC officials to avoid money laundering charges and allegedly served his sentence in a luxury apartment. The revelations sparked widespread outrage online and led to his re-arrest.
Now abroad, Bobrisky addressed the situation via his Instagram story, attributing his woes to the award. He wrote:
“My problem started when I collected the best dressed female award with N1 million prize.
“For my life, if I see an award for best dressed female, I go disappear from that location ASAP. Everyone knows the truth that I’m a baddie with class. You wanna compete with me? Your mummy never!!!! But when the problem wan too much, make I run.”
The crossdresser’s remarks have reignited debates on social media, further polarizing public opinion.
