‘I’m heartbroken’ – Senator Moro reacts to gruesome murder of lawyer, Mark Ofikwu

The senator representing Benue South Senatorial District and Senate Minority Leader, Comrade Abba Moro, has said he’s saddened by the gruesome murder of a constituent, Barr. Mark Ofikwu in Otukpo on Wednesday night by armed men.

Senator Moro condemned the killing in its entirety and calls on security agents to go after the perpetrators of the heinous crime with a view to bringing them to book, to serve as deterrent to others.

The senator says at a time when all hands are on deck for the development of Idoma land, some people are bent on destabilizing the peace of Benue South by engaging in criminal activities and killings of innocent people who have a lot to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the land thereby scaring people away.

He appealed to stakeholders to join hands in nipping this monstrous, horrendous and inhumane act in the bud so that home can be made safe for all.

The senator sent his heartfelt condolences to the family of late Barr. Ofikwu and prays that God gives them the hearts to bear this irreparable loss of their illustrious son.
