Chief Steven Lawani OFR Celebrates Life, Asks God To Forgive Death-rumour Peddlers And Grant Them Long Life

The leading governorship aspirant in the 2023 Benue state guber polls, His Excellency, Chief Steven Lawani OFR has celebrated his life which he noted has been a fulfilled one, asking God to forgive the rumour peddlers and reward them with long life.

The statement followed a death rumour against the Ochagwu K’Idoma wherein a social media user identified as Kyohol Senior, posted the following on his Facebook page, “Rest in peace former deputy governor of Benue State, Chief Steven Lawani.”

The APC chieftain in his reaction, assured his supporters, friends and business associates that he is in good health, advising that the report and whatever it suggests be discountenanced.

He equally used the opportunity to reflect on the fulfilled life God in his mercy has granted him so far, praying that God extends same gesture to the rumour-peddlers.

The former chairman of Savannah Bank also advised the youths to maximise the limitless opportunities social media presents and eschew hate speech and fake news which are capable of destabilising the polity and causing harm to others.

Finally, the political leader appreciated his friends, family and supporters who called in to check on him (including those who called and while he was on the phone with them, still requested that he informs them whether he is dead or not), he observed that the unprecedented show of love from all and sundry, across party lines were overwhelming, admitting that he has been buoyed by the barrage of support to never relent in giving his all towards a better society where better life is a basic necessity.

In conclusion, the business guru apologised for the inconveniences the fake report might have caused his loved ones.
