People now resort to charms and amulets to protect them from bullets following incessant killings and massacres in the state.
Zamfara was the birthplace of Sharia law that also gave birth to Boko Haram ravaging the north today.
They no longer have faith in religion. People who said religion is everything and anybody who don’t follow religion, especially that of Allah is foolish.
Go to public forums mainly frequented or populated by Muslims and read extremely sick and stupid comments from Muslims defending Islam and Sharia. With Islam, nothing in this world matters.
But today people troop to a market in Tsauni village in Zamfara as well as those in katsina state to buy anti-bullet charms to fortify themselves from daily massacres. How come Islam and Sharia failed to protect them?
Buhari too, who was so vociferous in defense and spread of Sharia have also failed to protect them now that he is their president.
Taking a critical look on Zamfara and the happenings there in recent times, how has religion and Sharia law improved their lives? It exposes the stupidity of religion.
Zamfara is Low and zero in every statistics of human and social development. If Islamic religion and Sharia could not help you, what then is the basis? You now resort to charms and juju for help.
Their outgoing governor Yari once said that the meningitis pestilence that once ravaged them was a result of their sin against Allah and Islam. Could it be that the massacres they witness daily is also a result of their sin against Allah who is failing to protect them?
Now between those who don’t believe in religion especially that of Allah and those who believe, sleep and eat it, who is the most foolish?
Well I don’t care what is happening to them in Zamfara. It is the lifestyle they choose to live for expediency and convenience. So they should live with and enjoy it to the full.
But I am only looking for a way to turn their misfortunes into business venture: I want someone I could employ as medicine man (Dibia Afa) and head to Zamfara where he/she could be making charms for bullet protection for money. I’ll buy tools for the person, pay their transport and accommodation. They’ll be bringing me returns for every charm produced.
Since Islam and Buhari could not protect, maybe my charms could.
