The Returning Officer for Kogi West Senatorial Election, Prof. Olayide Lawal, Dean, Faculty of Science Federal University Oye, Ekiti State, has announced Senator Smart Adeyemi of APC winner of Kogi west senatorial election haven polled 88,373 votes against the PDP Senator Daniel Dino Melaye with 62,133 votes, while Prof. Rufus Aiyenigba of SDP came third with 659 votes.
