The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Bala Mohammed, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as winner of the Bauchi state governorship election.
He defeated Mohammed Abubakar, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and incumbent governor.
The pending result of Tafawa Balewa was regenerated, collated and announced at the INEC head office in the state on Monday night.
Musa Dahiru, the collation officer of Tafawa Balewa, said Mohammed polled 39,225 votes ahead of Abubakar who garnered 30,055 votes.
