Insecurity: Emir pays royal visit to TorTiv

TorTiv HRM Prof James Ortese Iorzua Ayatse, earlier today welcomed the Emir of Awe HRH Alhaji Isa Abubakar Umar II, who was on a brief courtesy visit to him in his palace in Gboko.

The Emir said he was actually on his way to Taraba State and thought it necessary to stop over briefly in Gboko and have a royal interface with the Tiv paramount monarch.

TorTiv commended the Emir for his show of good neighborliness which could help to restore peace and unity that is now lacking due to incessant attacks by armed Fulani herdsmen on innocent, unarmed Tiv farmers and the widespread insecurity in Nigeria at the moment.

Fervent prayers were offered to God both in English and Arabic for the restoration of peace and unity particularly in neighboring Benue and Nasarawa States and indeed the entire country.
