President Muhammadu Buhari has been asked to declare state of emergency on security.
This advice was handed to him by Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.
Ortom stated this following the worsening security situation in the country.
There have been reported cases of killings across the country.
This week, over 20 persons have been killed and many others kidnapped across the country.
This, Ortom said is a gross failure on the part of the president.
Addressing newsmen on Thursday in Abuja, Ortom decried that Buhari is not doing well in tackling herdsmen/farmers crisis.
His words, “The president as our leader is not doing well. That is why I am calling on him to step up his action and act faster than the way it’s been done right now. Declare state of emergency on security right now. Because for now everything is in disarray, without security thee will be no meaningful development that I why I had to write to him.
“Buhari must come out to redeem his image.”
