Enugu state has been known as one of the safest states in Nigeria. How wise, the current insecurity in the State calls for urgent attention. To understand how safe,Enugu was, prominent Nigerians from all walks of life,do come to rest in Enugu, some have residential houses, some have business establishments.
The recent killings of priests, kidnappings, invasion of Police station in Enugu suggests porosity of security in the state . Enugu host major security apparatus and outfits. One amongst them is 82 Division,Nigeria Army. One would wonder what must have gone wrong in the security formation, that bring porosity to give ways for the heinous act of hoodlums.
The current Inspector General of Police.. Mr Adamu Mohammed Abubakar led the best safest Enugu State while he was the Commissioner of Police 2010-2013,he knows all the creeks in Enugu State, haven been there for 4years as Commissioner.
During his tenure as commissioner of Police,he carried out various security strategies and meetings. I was privileged to be the PRO Police community relation committee, central Police Station Enugu and Member State Intelligence PCRC Enugu state,I was in various security meetings with Adamu Mohammed, mostly, the one held at UDI LGA which produced the picture in view. I am the one in red cap.
The removal of Mr Suleiman Balarabe and his immediate replacement with Mr Ahmad Abdulraham is an applause to a fine gentleman, a refined, defined, diligent and dogged superior cops..IGP Adam Mohammed Abubakar.
