IPOB/ESN attack: Five soldiers killed in fatal auto crash after receiving distress call in Anambra

Five soldiers have died while others critically injured in a fatal accident during a call to duty in Ihiala Anambra state.

The officers from the 302 Artillery Regiment, General Support, Onitsha, were in an MRAP (mine-resistant, ambush protected vehicle) when it crashed on Tuesday, Feb. 8.

They were on their way to Ihiala to join with their colleagues at a military checkpoint after receiving information that operatives of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) were planning to attack the checkpoint, according to SaharaReporters.
