The Nigeria online mediasphere was awash with the news of the death rumours of former military president, Ibrahim Babangida, IBB.

Some tweeps and Facebook users had claimed that the former military leader, known as IBB had died.

The IBB death rumours, which had gone viral in a section of the media, has got many wondering is Babangida was truly dead.

This is like the third time in eight months that death rumours would be trailing the elder statesman.

Reacting to IBB death rumour, one of his aides said, “the news of the ‘death’ of Oga IBB is not true.

“We are with him now; he just finished receiving visitors at his Hill Top residence in Minna,” a source in the Hill Top residence confirmed on Saturday afternoon, May 7, 2022.

The rumours of IBB death made the rounds in May last year, resurfaced in January this year and now again.
