Israel bombs Syria for ‘pokenosing’ as war with Hamas escalates
The war between the Israel Defense Forces and Hamas militants in Gaza, Palestine, has taken a new twist with retaliatory military attacks launched against the Syrian army Wednesday morning by the IDF.
Israel’s air force confirmed striking Syrian army infrastructure and mortar launchers early on Wednesday.
“Any squad you launch will be thwarted.,” the IDF tweeted.
The IDF said it was a retaliation following rocket launches from Syria into Israel, which landed in open fields.
Since Hamas militants invaded Southern Israel on October 7, the Israeli military has been carrying out offensives against Hamas, maintaining “it is ready for any eventuality.”
Since Israel’s military operation started, it has faced rocket fires from Lebanon’s Hezbollah, from Syria and from Yemen.
