ISWAP terrorists attack Nigerian troops in Borno Community

The Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) are currently in a gun duel with the military formation in Damboa in the southern part of Borno state.

The terrorist group attacked the town of Damboa around 10:30 am, with sophisticated weapons such as; gun trucks, as stated by Daily Trust.

It was gathered that the incident rendered many people homeless also sent fear into the heart of the residents while everyone scampered for safety.

As stated by the newspaper, there was air bombardment deployed to assist the ground troops to make sure peace and normalcy is restored in the area.

A security source said, these boys (ISWAP) are currently attacking state forces in Damboa town. Airpower has been deployed to support the troops. Everything is under control,”

Damboa is 100 kilometres away from Maiduguri, th centre of insurgency.
