It’s incredible to play for Nigeria – Ademola Lookman

Ademola Lookman, the Nigerian winger who led Atalanta to Europa League glory, has credited playing for Nigeria with helping him grow both on and off the pitch.

Lookman, who scored a hat-trick in the final, told UEFA’s official website: “It’s incredible to play for Nigeria. The support and love I receive from the people back home is unbelievable.”

He continued, “It motivates me to evolve in different areas – as a person, not just in my game.”

Lookman’s journey to representing Nigeria is notable, having previously played for England at the youth level before switching allegiance.

His goals and dedication have made him a beloved figure in Nigerian football, and his success with Atalanta has further cemented his status as a rising star.
