Everton star and Super Eagles’ forward, Alex Iwobi, has tested negative for Coronavirus after further COVID-19 tests were conducted.
IDOMA VOICE recalls that Iwobi had earlier tested positive to the virus prior to the Eagles’ game in Benin Republic during the weekend, forcing him to miss the match which later ended 1-0 in favour of Nigeria.
This was revealed in a tweet by the NFF.
“Update: @NGSuperEagles forward, @alexiwobi has tested negative after further COVID-19 tests were conducted,” the tweet read.
The Super Eagles are billed to face the Crocodiles of Lesotho today (Tuesday 30 March) at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos by 5.00pm, it is however, not clear whether the former Arsenal striker is fit to participate in the game.
