Iyalode of Yorubaland Alaba Lawson is Dead

The news of the passing of Chief Alaba Lawson, a former National President of the Nigeria Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and the esteemed Iyalode of Yorubaland, was announced today in a statement issued from Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The statement was released by Maku Abdul Rahaman, the Executive Secretary of the Ogun Chambers of Commerce, Industry Mines and Agriculture.

Throughout her life, Chief Alaba Lawson held various significant positions, including being the Iyalode of Egbaland and serving as the Chairperson of the Ogun State-owned Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta.

She was a distinguished figure in politics, a renowned entrepreneur, and a respected academician. Chief Alaba Lawson was born on January 18, 1951, in Abeokuta.
