The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results. The exam was conducted nationwide on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB advised candidates to check their results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number (SIM) used for registration.
According to the board, the optional mock examination was designed to trial its annual innovations and offer candidates hands-on experience with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system.
Out of the 200,115 candidates who initially registered for the exam, two later withdrew, bringing the total number of registered candidates to 200,113. However, 73,844 were absent on the exam day, and 88 were unable to sit for the test due to biometric verification issues.
Ultimately, 126,181 candidates sat for the mock exam, with results for 115,735 of them already released. The remaining 10,446 results are still being processed and will be released in due course.
JAMB acknowledged that some candidates faced delays during the examination, attributing the hiccups to new features being tested in preparation for the main UTME. The board expressed regret for the inconvenience and appreciated the patience of both candidates and their parents.
“The mock exam is an important part of our preparations each year. It not only helps us test new systems but also prepares candidates for the real UTME by familiarizing them with the CBT environment,” the statement read.
JAMB urged all candidates to remain committed and continue their preparations to ensure a smoother and more successful experience during the main UTME.
