James Oche, others bid farewell to Mercy Ebere Ochoga

Remains of the Late Mama Mercy Ebere Ochoga were yesterday laid to laid rest at Ai-Ochoga Compound, Apa-Agila, Ado Local Government Area of Benue State.

The democratically elected Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government, Hon. James Oche, a nephew to the deceased was among those who witnessed the interment.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the deceased’s committal, Oche said her aunt was a godly woman whose spirited inclinations were felt by all. He stated that, the deceased was a matriarch of the Ochoga dynasty who through thick and thin sustained her courageous disposition to ensuring the welfare of her home and community.

Oche particularly commiserated with his mother and her sister over their sister’s passing, noting with sadness how it has demoralized them both. He said the Local Government was standing by the family and prayed the good Lord to repose her gentle soul.

To witness the interment were members of the Executive and Legislative Councils of the local government, principal state functionaries, family, relatives and friends.
