JEDC explains why there will be no ‘light’ in Benue, Jos, others for 30 days

There will be total power outage in some parts of Benue, Gombe, Jos as the Management of Jos Electricity Distribution PLC has notified her Customers of planned power outage.

JEDC in a statement statement by its PRO, Friday Adakole Elijah, said the outage would commence on 11th January, to enable them construct some transposition towers as well as execute other jobs to correct capacitive reactance of the line and mitigate the effects of over voltage tripping experiences in some transmission stations in their franchise area.

“However, customers in the areas need not to panic as TCN has assured that during the pendency of the correctional measures, all the affected areas migrated to obtain power supply from Kaduna to Jos 330K V line.

“Management of Jos Electricity Distribution PLC therefore, calls on all her esteemed customers within the affected areas to kindly bear and understand with the company as it is poised to achieve and surpass the service level commitments,” Elijah said.
