The date has been announced for the final farewell and internment ceremony of the late literary doyen and former Minister of Education, Prof Jerry Agada.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Prof Agada died on December 21 after a brief illness in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
His son, Michael Ichekani Agada, in a statement issued on Monday, said all activities will be carried out under strict adherence to the COVID-19 safety requirements and protocols.

I thank you all once again as always for the awesome and amazingly kind words you have continued to use to describe my Dad, Late Prof. Jerry A. Agada; these words and expressions have brought us his immediate family more soothing relief than you can ever imagine.
The family after due consultations has set his final farewell and internment ceremony to hold on the 13th of February, 2021.
We have also put together series of activities that will lead up to that day are as captured in the program “Celebrating the Life and Times of Prof. Jerry A. Agada”.
Kindly do note that all activities will be carried out under strict adherence to the COVID-19 safety requirements and protocols (ensure the proper use of a face mask at all events, maintain proper social & safe distancing, and sanitize regularly).
