Jessica Agee: BSU reveals how 300-L Benue student was murdered

The management of Benue State University has revealed what it described as the true story of the murder of Jessica Agee, a student of the state-owned institution

IDOMA VOICE reports that Miss Agee was murder earlier in the week by suspected cultist.

In a statement on Friday, T. Tser Vanger, JP, MNIPR, Principal Assistant Registrar, (Information & Public Relations) security agencies have since commenced investigation into unfortunate incident

The statement reads below.

In the wee hours of Monday, 16th February, 2021, the death occurred of Miss Jessica Kpadoo Agee, a 300 Level student of Benue State University, Makurdi, who was reportedly shot by unknown gunmen in her off campus residence at Gyado Villa settlement area of Makurdi.

Although a distress call was received by the Security Unit of the University, officers of the University, in turn, alerted the Police and other regular Security agencies since the scene of crime was outside the University campus

The Security agencies have since commenced investigation into the case with the hope of identifying the culprits and arresting them for prosecution

Meanwhile, security has been beefed up with regular patrols on the campus by conventional Security with the backup of all arms of the university Security Unit so as to reinforce confidence of students of the university who are writing examinations

Students and the general public are hereby advised to discountenance any speculative publications on this unfortunate and sad incidence

It is important for the general public, parents and guardians of our students to note that there exists a State Law on Cultism. The University is equally very clear about this ugly and unacceptable practice.  Therefore, students should note that BSU will no longer be used as a practice ground. Parents and guardians should note this and call their children to order before it is too late.  Meanwhile, the University appreciates the swift cooperation of all the security agencies.
