JF London: Senior military officer gunned down by ‘repentant’ bandits recently empowered by Governor Matawalle in Zamfara

J.F. London, a senior military officer in Zamfara State has been killed.

London was reportedly killed by gunmen suspected to be bandits, according to SaharaReporters.

The paper quoted a top military source as saying that London was gunned down during an ambush set up for Nigerian soldiers at Janbako town in the Maradun Local Government Area of the state.

The incident happened on Sunday.

The source said the attackers came in a Hilux vehicle and motorcycles given to repentant bandits by Governor Bello Matawalle.

The soldiers were said to be on their way to restore peace at Janboko after bandits invaded the community.
