The All Progressives Congress, APC, has lost in Okwungaga, the poling unit of Senator-elect, Comrade Abba Moro, in the ongoing rerun election in Benue State.
Moro, who served as Supervising Agent in Okpokwu delivered his polling unit for Governor Samuel Ortom of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
At Okwungaga polling unit, Ortom polled 234 votes to defeat Jime of APC, who got just 19 votes.
Earlier, there was a skirmish by some miscreants led by one Lanco from Effa to disrupt the election, which was resisted by security agencies and the ever gallant youths of Okwungaga.
Though Senator-elect, Comrade Moro, whose intervention calmed the situation, sued for calm as he restated that the election was not worth the life of anybody and that everybody should go about the election peacefully and in accordance with the laid down electoral laws.
Comrade Moro said that the election is peaceful so far and he was impressed with the turnout in Okwungaga polling unit, Ugbokolo ward.
