As early as 8:am, supporters of both candidates are already at the court premises amid tight security.
9:50: Senators Abba Moro and Orker Jev are already at the court premises. PDP chair, John Ngbede also on ground.
10:00 The case today is actually for “HEARING” and not Judgement. But it’s possible Judgement is delivered immediately after the hearing. A registrar of the court has just announced that all civil appeals are stepped down for a date to be communicated to the parties.
Counsel to Appellant, Emmanuel Jime, argues that number of accredited voters MUST tally with number of votes cast at a polling unit, upon which he seeks to establish a case of irregularities in their Appeal.
Learned Justice of the Court observes that it is the discretion of a voter to decide to vote or not to vote after having been accredited, in which case the number of accredited voters may not necessarily be same as number of votes cast.
