Jimmy Odukoya officially installed as Fountain of Life General Overseer (Video)

Jimmy Odukoya, son of the late founding pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, Taiwo Odukoya, has been installed as the new senior pastor.

Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) Mike Okonkwo presided over the installation ceremony at the church in the Ilupeju area of Lagos on Saturday.

The event was attended by Jimmy’s sister Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun, Bishop Wale Okay, among other men of God.

Odukoya, the former senior pastor of the church, died on August 7 in the United States. He was aged 67.

The preacher was buried on September 9 in a private ceremony attended by family members and close associates.

Although Jimmy is known more as an actor and model, he was ordained a minister in the church in 2009 and then pastor in 2012.

On September 17, a member of the church’s board of trustees Pastor Rotimi Okpaise announced that the board had unanimously selected Jimmy to succeed his father.

Jimmy’s dreadlocks and earrings have been a subject of controversy since his appointment.
