John Textor in negotiation to become Everton’s new owner

Crystal Palace shareholder John Textor has been granted an exclusive period to negotiate a deal to become Everton’s new majority owner.

The ongoing search for new ownership at Everton has taken a significant step forward, with American businessman John Textor given exclusivity to discuss acquiring Farhad Moshiri’s majority stake.

Textor, who currently owns a 45% share in Premier League club Crystal Palace, has reached agreements with both Moshiri and the club. According to The Athletic, the deal will be contingent on Textor selling his stake in Palace, as Premier League regulations prevent the ownership of two clubs in the same division.
