The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi and the church leadership have taken action over the abduction Prof Johnson Fatokun.
Prof Fatokun is Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Anchor University, Lagos, owned by the church.
IDOMA VOICE reports that Prof Fatokun was kidnapped on Monday along Akwanga-Keffi road by unknown gunmen. The abductors have reportedly demanded N20 million ransom.
Vanguard quoted a source as saying members and leaders of the church are doing necessary things to ensure the DVC is released.
He said the church led by Kumuyi, who was also a university lecturer before going into full time ministry, has intensified prayers for the freedom of Prof Fatokun.
He said the DVC lived in the state before and had gone to drop his children in schools in both Plateau and Nasarawa states when he was abducted while going to Keffi en route Abuja to board a plane to Lagos.
Fatokun joined Anchor University in 2017 after he had served as the pioneer DVC of the Federal University, Dutsin-Ma.
