Jonathan under fire for visiting, congratulating Tinubu

Socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu, has criticized former President Goodluck Jonathan for his recent visit to President Bola Tinubu.

Jonathan visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja to congratulate President Tinubu on the Supreme Court’s verdict affirming his election.

After a closed-door meeting, Jonathan expressed the need for past presidents to come together and find solutions to alleviate poverty among the masses.

He emphasized that the election matters were settled, and it was time to support Tinubu.

However, Aisha Yesufu was not pleased with Jonathan’s comments and took to her social media handle to express her views.

She said, “Jonathan still sees himself as that child without shoes,” and cited this as a perfect example of the law of the “lid” in action.

She criticized Jonathan for making Buhari a viable option, even though he had defeated him easily in 2011. She also mentioned the security challenges during his administration and accused him of finding them amusing. Yesufu stated that people romanticized his tenure and made him a hero he never truly was.
