Jose Mourinho will undoubtedly go down as one of the best managers in football history after his recent achievement with AS Roma. The Portuguese manager and his team AS Roma overcame all odds to win their first ever Conference League title. Coincidentally, it was AS Roma’s first trophy in 14 years, showing us how important this is for the Roma fans.
It’s been a season filled with ups and downs for Jose Mourinho. Two months into his stay at Roma, there were speculations that the Portuguese manager could be sacked before the end of the season but it didn’t happen. Instead, Mourinho went on to qualify Roma for European competition next season as well as winning the conference league.
After the final whistle was blown by the referee, the Portuguese manager jumped up and celebrated with his coaching staff. He shed tears of joy as the emotions were too much to bear after he received the winners medal.Very few people expected Roma to win a trophy this season but Jose Mourinho did it.
