The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Sunday, revealed that Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has agreed to an extension of his contract.
Peseiro’s previous contract with the NFF had lapsed in June. The Portuguese coach has now chosen to continue in his role after accepting a revised contract with reduced terms.
Under the new agreement, the 62-year-old will also be responsible for managing the home-based Super Eagles. Peseiro has been entrusted with the task of guiding the Super Eagles to the semi-finals of the 34th Africa Cup of Nations, set to take place in Cote d’Ivoire in the coming months.
It’s worth noting that the Super Eagles have already secured their spot in the 2023 AFCON finals. They are scheduled to face Sao Tome and Principe in their final qualifying match next Sunday.
